LIVE VOODOO JAM BROADCAST - AUG. 1ST

ustreamad

After a few hours today, we finally got our wireless internet connection resolved and are ready to provide a live feed from the Flatland Voodoo Jam in New Orleans.  We’ll be kicking it off with a live pre-show from 5 - 6pm (CST) and going off air until 7pm, where we’ll then provide a live stream of the Pro Flatland finals.

The pre-show will be full of interviews and antics from the Byke Project, Team Pralex (or at least one of them), a live pillow fight between Reuben Castillo and anyone else who wants to fight him, interviews with many of the top Am and pro riders on hand, and anything else we can think of covering within one hour.

This weekend the Byke Project will be in New Orleans, serving as one of the sponsors for the infamous BMX Flatland Voodoo Jam.  We’ve been making the trek to N.O. since the very first event some 6 years ago.  We’ll be in full effect at this year’s event with a full product area and will most likely be handling the live stream of the pro finals on Saturday night.  We’ll post a definite time by friday morning.  For more info, visit www.theflatlandvoodoojam.com.

Haro Demo at The Worlds 2009 - 25 years of bmx freestyle!

Hard to believe that it’s been 25 years since the beginning days of freestyle bmx. The guys in this video are legends in freestyle and we owe it to them and many others for the foundation that was laid for flatland and freestyle. This video was from the Worlds which took place recently overseas and this demo included several bmx legends like Bob Haro, Dave Norey, and Ron Wilkerson, who rode in full old school leathers and helmets as well as riding on their original bikes from back in the day. Definitely a piece of bmx history right here. Enjoy.
